Baylor Medical Center at Garland 

Baylor Medical Center at Garland joined Baylor Health Care System in 1991 to bring quality health care services to Garland and the surrounding community. The hospital is actively involved in the community and provides health education resources to its patients and the public through health related events and the hospital's community resource center. The hospital is also one of two teaching facilities of Baylor Health Care System and trains medical residents and fellows in eight specialties and 13 subspecialties.

The health needs identified of the community are:

  • Access to care for low income/underserved
  • Multiple chronic conditions
  • Preventive health screenings
  • Behavioral health
  • Patient safety and hospital acquired conditions
  • Emergency and urgent care
  • Health care infrastructure
