Community Benefit Reports

Baylor Scott & White Health, formerly known as Baylor Health Care System, is a not-for-profit network of acute care hospitals and related health care organizations with the vision and resources to offer its patients continued quality care while creating a model system for a dramatically changing health care environment. Baylor Scott & White Health - North Texas (BSWH North), a faith-based health care provider, is invested in improving community health by addressing identified community health needs. Through the years, North Texans have benefited from billions of dollars in expenditures by BSWH North to improve the overall health of the communities it serves. A focus on providing quality care to the community, along with open transparency, has been BSWH North’s commitment since 1903.

With new realities and challenges in health care, BSWH North stands ready to serve the community. Through strong leadership and a commitment to its founding principles, we will continue to be a strong community asset. The BSHW North mission has never been more crucial than it is today.

Baylor exceeds all state and federal legal requirements mandating the provision of community benefit by tax-exempt, not-for-profit health care organizations. BSWH North’s community benefit expenditures in fiscal year 2015 was $742,196,745 *. We invite you to read our hospitals' reports on community benefit to find out more about our financial stewardship and how we fulfill community needs.
