Frederick Savelsbergh is the chief financial officer for Baylor Health Care System (BHCS). Mr. Savelsbergh is the senior executive officer responsible for overseeing all financial strategy, functions and transactions for the system.
He began his career at BHCS in the Office of Corporate Accounting in 1982. Since then, he has held several executive positions, both financial and operational. Prior to Mr. Savelsbergh current role, he served as the BHCS senior vice president of hospital finance. In 1997, Mr. Savelsbergh was employed by Baylor University Medical Center as vice president of finance and chief financial officer. In 1984, Mr. Savelsbergh was employed by Baylor Medical Center at Grapevine where he held numerous positions including administrative director of finance and controller, interim president and secretary of board of trustees for two years and lastly as vice president of finance and chief financial officer.
Mr. Savelsbergh earned an undergraduate degree with honors in accounting and economics from the University of North Texas and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
He is currently a board member for Baylor Affiliated Services, Baylor Health Enterprises, Baylor Health Services, BHCS Holdings, Health Insurance Company of Texas, Texas Health Ventures Group, Texas Health Ventures Group Bariatrics, Dallas County Indigent Care Corporation, Tarrant County Indigent Care Corporation, and Shared Clarity. Mr. Savelsbergh also previously served on numerous civic and community boards.
Mr. Savelsbergh and his wife, Margot, have a son and a daughter.
