Rowland (Robin) K. Robinson is president of the Baylor Health Care System Foundation, a separately incorporated 501(c)(3) organization that raises and manages charitable funds to support Baylor Health Care System. The Foundation provides financial assistance in support of clinical initiatives, cutting edge research, equipment, technology, new construction and medical education to better serve the citizens of North Texas. Since the BHCS Foundation was established in 1978, its assets have grown from $5 million to its current level approaching $350 million. The Foundation receives annual support from over 10,000 donors. Over the years, it has distributed in excess of $439 million in support of Baylor.
Robinson spent 26 years in the banking industry serving in various executive level positions, which culminated with Bank of America in Dallas. In his capacity as president of Bank of America, he was the corporate voice representing the bank and its 8,000 associates in a wide range of business, civic, community investment and political venues.
Throughout his career, Robinson has played an active role in the community. Currently, Robinson serves on the board of directors for the State Fair of Texas and is an active member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas. He formerly served as chairman of the boards at Goodwill Industries in Dallas and Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation, a Baylor Health Care System hospital.
Robinson earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in 1972. He graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking in 1980.
He and his wife, Debby Shepherd Robinson, have three children and four grandchildren.
