Jon Skinner 

President

Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation JV, LLP

Jon Skinner is the president of Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation JV, LLP, a rehabilitation joint venture between Baylor Health Care System and Select Medical.  His responsibilities include the oversight of four freestanding acute rehabilitation hospitals totaling 220 beds - Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation at Dallas, Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation at Frisco, Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation at Fort Worth and Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation at Northwest Dallas.  In addition, Skinner is responsible for more than 40 outpatient therapy clinics and the management of 57 inpatient rehabilitation beds located within Baylor Medical Center Garland, Baylor Medical Center at Irving and Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth. 

Skinner came to Baylor Health Care System first as a leader in HealthTexas Provider Network, where he served as director of physician compensation and benefits. From there he became executive director of the 71-bed Baylor Medical Center at Southwest Fort Worth. Prior to becoming president of the Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation joint venture, he was the president of the 92-bed Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation at Dallas and managed all aspects of the musculoskeletal service lines of the System, including oversight of physical medicine and rehabilitation services at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas and overseeing the Baylor Tom Landry Health and Wellness Center. In addition to his executive leadership experience, Skinner is a certified public accountant and previously served in accounting and financial management roles at local accounting firms.

Skinner received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Hardin-Simmons University and his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves as a member of the American Hospital Association’s  Long Term Care and Rehabilitation Council.
