(DALLAS, March 23, 2009) – On February 1, Baylor Health Care System became part of the Granbury medical community with the opening of Baylor Surgicare at Granbury.

Physicians will perform gastroenterology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, podiatry, urology, and pain management procedures, as well as general surgery at this location. The 15,000 square-foot free-standing facility located at 1717 Paluxy Road formerly was the Granbury Surgical Plaza.  Within the facility are four operating room suites and one procedure room.  

The ambulatory surgery center is a joint venture between Baylor, United Surgical Partners International and 12 physician partners. 

Baylor offers 17 day or ambulatory surgery centers throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex designed to provide care for patients undergoing elective surgery.  These centers provide advanced outpatient treatment options, quality education, care and support plus convenient access.
