(FORT WORTH, Texas, May 26, 2009) – Baylor Medical Center at Southwest Fort Worth and Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth announced the appointment of David G. Klein, M.D. to the role of Baylor Southwest administrator and Baylor Fort Worth chief operating officer. Klein, a general surgeon in private practice for 14 years, comes to Baylor Southwest and Baylor Fort Worth from Cedar Park, Texas, where he recently served as the CEO of Cedar Park Regional Medical Center in Austin. He assumed his new role at Baylor Southwest and Baylor Fort Worth on Wednesday, May 20.
As administrator of Baylor Southwest, Klein will be responsible for oversight of all aspects of hospital operations, and will lead a multi-disciplinary team focused on clinical quality, patient and physician satisfaction, and financial performance. He will work closely with the communities served by Baylor Southwest, and will also provide operational leadership on key projects at the Baylor Fort Worth downtown campus.

Klein received his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from the University of Southern California, his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of New Mexico and his Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of California. He is currently associated with the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce, the American Heart Association and the University of Texas School of Nursing.
