Chief Nursing Officer/Chief Operating Officer

Baylor Medical Center at Garland 

Jane Cook joins Baylor Medical Center at Garland as the new chief nursing officer and chief operating officer. She brings eight years of experience as a CNO to Baylor.

Cook previously served six years as chief nurse executive at Texas Presbyterian Hospital Allen, responsible for the strategic, operational and financial performance of nursing. During her tenure, she provided executive oversight as Texas Health Allen pursued and, ultimately, achieved the Baby Friendly designation and certifications in Pathway to Excellence, Level IV Trauma and Chest Pain.

Prior to joining Texas Health Allen, Cook served as the chief nursing officer at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Ky. She also worked as the coordinator for Clinical Education for the University of Missouri Health Care System.

A native of Missouri, Cook holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in nursing from the University of Missouri School of Nursing in Columbia, Mo.

Cook lives in Allen, Texas, with her husband of 20 years, Rob; 16-year-old daughter, Beth; and dog, Charlie. Her son, Ben, lives in California, where he is pursuing a master’s degree in social work. Another son, Mark, is a nuclear engineer in the U.S. Navy stationed in Charleston, S.C. The family is actively involved in their church and community and support the Allen High School Escadrille.
