Kelli Terpstra is Vice President of Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Officer for Our Children’s House (OCH) at Baylor. In her role, she oversees the clinical operations for OCH, including pediatric day surgery, all inpatient services and eight outpatient therapy clinics. She represents 91 nurses at OCH.
Terpstra has been a nurse for 19 years, beginning her career as a pediatrics nurse. Prior to her current role, she was an assistant nurse manager and a nurse manager for PICU at Medical City Dallas, a supervisor at OCH, and a nurse manager for pediatrics and gynecology surgery at Medical Center of Plano. She also served as director of nursing and director of clinical operations at OCH. She’s been with Baylor for six years.
Terpstra facilitated the planning, construction and opening of a new wing at OCH in Dallas in 2006 and 2007.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D., and her master’s degree in nursing from Baylor School of Nursing.
Terpstra is a member of the North Texas Organization of Nurse Executives, American Organization of Nurse Executives and Sigma Theta Tau international nursing honor society. In 2001, she earned the Nursing Award of Excellence from Baylor.
