With approximately 500 ICU beds across our system, the opportunities for specialization include:

• ICUs (Cardiac, Vascular and Thoracic Surgery, Heart and Lung Transplant, Liver, Kidney and Pancreas Transplant, Cardiac Medicine, Trauma, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, General Medicine and Bone Marrow Transplant)
• Post Anesthesia Care Unit
• Trauma

Our system of 13 hospitals and more than 80 clinics allows you to work in your preferred critical care setting including:

• Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas (BUMC) is one of only two Level I trauma centers in North Texas
• The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano offers Level IV Open Heart Cardiac nursing opportunities. All beds are universal beds.
• Baylor Specialty Hospital provides a chance to work with some of our most medically complex patients in a long-term acute care environment
• Four of our hospitals have Level III NICUs and one has a Level II NICU.

Flexible Schedules

Baylor has been offering flexible schedules for more than 20 years. We invented the Baylor Plan, which provides full-time benefits and a generous shift differential for working 24 hours during the weekend. Full-time nurses may also work three 12-hour, four 10-hour or five 8-hour shifts.

PRNs can also work the schedule that best suits their needs. If you work at least eight hours per month, you can participate in continuing education classes and contribute to our generous 401(k) plan.
