Understanding Orthopaedics

Orthopaedics is the medical specialty that focuses on injuries and diseases of your body's musculoskeletal system. This complex system includes your bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves and allows you to move, work and be active.

Expertise to Move You in the Right Direction

The first orthopaedics surgeon in Dallas opened shop at Baylor in the early 1900s - and we're still on the forefront of orthopaedic care.

We treat orthopaedic conditions from ankle to spine. We perform almost 9,000 orthopaedic surgeries annually, including approximately 3,000 joint replacements. That's a track record of success and expertise you can trust, especially if your orthopaedic needs are complex.

Conditions Treated

We offer a wide range of orthopaedic treatments - from conservative, nonsurgical treatments to state-of-the-art minimally invasive treatments.
