Women and Nutrition Services at Baylor Plano

Good health starts with good nutrition. Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano can help you gain the knowledge you need to help improve your health through medical nutrition therapy. We provide personalized nutrition education by a registered dietitian.

At your initial visit, the Registered Dietitian who is an expert in food and nutrition will discuss your medical diagnosis with you. You will work together to develop a healthy eating plan based on what you currently eat. You will discuss changes you can make to improve your health. We will work with you to include foods you like and teach you how to include all foods in a healthy lifestyle.

When you return for follow up, you and the dietitian will talk about the changes you have made. We discuss other ways you can change your eating habits to help you meet your goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

This program is available for anyone who is interested in improving their health by making healthy food choices, wants to lose weight or is considering gastric bypass surgery or who has one of these conditions:
  • Diabetes
  • Pre-diabetes
  • Cardiovascular problems
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Digestive disorders
  • Nutrition concerns due to cancer treatment
  • Kidney disease
  • Pregnancy related nutritional problems
