The Quality Texas Foundation has recognized Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth at the Achievement Level of its 2012 Texas Award for Performance Excellence (TAPE) program. Baylor Fort Worth received the recognition for improving care related to acute myocardial infarction or AMI (heart attack), heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care. The awards program recognizes hospitals that are active in quality improvement and have made the required improvement on a composite scoring system.
Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth has achieved Pathway to Excellence® designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Pathway to Excellence designation identifies the elements of work environments where nurses can flourish. To earn this distinction, an organization must successfully undergo a thorough review process that documents quality initiatives for creating a positive work environment, as defined by nurses and supported by research. The Pathway to Excellence® designation confirms to the community that Baylor Fort Worth is committed to nurses, recognizes what is important to our nursing practice, and values nurses’ contributions to the workplace.
Baylor Fort Worth was named a Top 100 Hospital for Patient Satisfaction and winner of the Women’s Choice Award by WomenCertified, an organization committed to helping women identify businesses that value the customer experience and appreciate female consumer needs. The survey process is based on significant research of customer satisfaction among women. Recipients do not apply for the award; they are selected based on a rigorous scoring process.

Baylor Fort Worth received the recognition for demonstrating a sound, balanced approach to organizational management and performance improvement. TAPE is patterned after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award criteria and process. It is presented to businesses, hospitals, schools, government agencies and non-profits that serve as role models for quality, customer satisfaction and performance excellence.
Thomson Reuters has recognized Baylor All Saints as a Top 100 Hospital under the category of “Large Community Hospitals.” Baylor All Saints received the recognition based on an evaluation of overall organization performance measures, including patient care, operational efficiency, and financial stability. It compares hospitals only against similar facilities in terms of size and teaching status. Identified from nearly 3,000 U.S. hospitals, award winners demonstrate that high-quality patient outcomes can be achieved while improving efficiency. The Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals® study uses objective research and independent public data to recognize the best U.S. hospitals.
U.S. News & World Report has named Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth, along with five other Baylor hospitals, to its first-ever ranking of the Best Hospitals Metro Area ranking for Dallas/Fort Worth, more than any other North Texas hospital system. To be ranked in its metro area, a hospital had to score in the top 25 percent among its peers in at least one of 16 medical specialties. Baylor All Saints was recognized in two areas: Ear, Nose & Throat; and Urology. With nearly 5,000 hospitals nationwide, the rankings recognize only 622 hospitals in or near major cities with a record of high performance in key medical specialties
The Texas Nurses Association, Districts Three and Four, and the Dallas-Fort Worth Nurse Executives, have named 12 Baylor Fort Worth and Baylor Southwest nurses to the 2011 “Great 100 Nurses” list. Baylor Fort Worth has received Commission on Cancer (CoC) accreditation from the American College of Surgeons. Our comprehensive, accredited cancer program has been certified through 2013 after undergoing an on-site evaluation to look at various standards to mark commendation-level compliance, including cancer committee leadership, cancer data management, clinical services, research, community outreach and quality improvement.The accreditation program, a part of the CoC, sets quality of care standards for cancer programs and reviews programs to ensure they conform to the standards. To maintain accreditation, facilities undergo on-site reviews everything three years.
The Paul and Judy Andrews Women’s Hospital at Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth in 2007 was first designated a Texas Ten Step Facility. The Texas Hospital Association and the Texas Department of State Health Services together have developed the Texas Ten Step Facility Program in an effort to improve the health of Texas mothers and infants by promoting breastfeeding.Andrews Women’s Hospital recently received the annual designation again, which is another step toward the eventual goal of becoming a Baby-Friendly hospital, an expansion of the Texas Ten Step Program that is awarded by the World Health Organization. Only 96 hospitals in the United States have Baby-Friendly status, and five of them are located in Texas.
The The American College of Nurse-Midwives Benchmarking Program has identified Baylor Fort Worth as a "best practice" facility for operative vaginal births. The program enables Baylor Fort Worth to compare itself to other high volume midwife practices and obstetrics providers of similar size. Benchmarking is one part of our internal quality assurance program.
The Paul and Judy Andrews Women's Hospital at Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth was selected to receive the 2009 Innovation in Women's Health Award sponsored by The Snowmass Institute and Key Nurse Leaders. The purpose of the award is to recognize and promote outstanding innovation in women's health programming and service delivery. Andrews Women's Hospital was recognized with a specially engraved crystal Innovation in Women's Health Award that was presented at The Snowmass Institute's 25th annual spring conference "Achieving Success in Women's Health" Awards Luncheon on May 4. As the Innovation winner, Andrews Women's Hospital will be featured in the nationally acclaimed Ireland Report on Succeeding in Women's Health newsletter.
