FitSteps For Life® Exercise Program for Cancer Patients

Managed by the Cancer Foundation for Life, FitSteps for Life® is a free program that helps you improve your physical well being through exercise during cancer treatment. Trained staff members create individualized programs tailored to your fitness level, needs and goals. Exercise can help you feel stronger and reduce the side effects associated with cancer treatment. Enrollment in the program requires a referral from a physician.

FitSteps for Life® includes:

  • Cardiovascular aerobics using a treadmill, elliptical and pedometer
  • Strength building and stretching exercises using lightweight dumbbells, stretch bands and stability balls
  • Exercise with cancer survivors experiencing physical and psychological changes similar to yours
  • Tools to implement the program at home and create a healthy, active lifestyle
