Radiology Services 

Quality diagnostic plain films can be viewed on our picture archiving and communication system (PACS) within minutes of completing a study. We also offer panorex dental images.

The MRI department, located on the 7th floor of Baylor Sammons Cancer Center, houses a large bore scanner with a table weight limit of 550 lbs. to accommodate a wide variety of patient sizes. The large bore also makes testing more comfortable for patients with claustrophobia.

Free breathing imaging techniques for patients who have a hard time holding their breath is also available.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a non-invasive way to take an internal image of the human body. To capture these images, the MRI machine uses powerful magnets and radio waves. This procedure does not involve radiation. Be sure all of your patient information forms are filled out as accurately as possible before you arrive at the laboratory.
