The neurosurgeons and neurointerventional radiologists on the medical staff at Baylor Neuroscience Center specialize in minimally invasive surgical techniques, where the surgical procedure is done through small incisions causing less disruption to the soft tissue and muscle. Advantages of minimally invasive surgery may include less post-operative pain, shorter hospital stay if needed (usually same-day surgeries), less blood loss and a typically quicker return to a functional level and to work.
