Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine is pleased to announce the Baylor Breast Center has earned accreditation in digital mammography by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The national organization focuses on the practice of medical imaging and radiology oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health services.
The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety and is awarded to facilities that meet ACR guidelines and standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists.
“This accreditation in mammography affirms the commitment of physicians and staff to provide women in the community with high quality imaging and breast care services,” said Doug Lawson, president of Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine.
Located on Lancaster Drive in the Clearview II building, the Baylor Breast Center offers full-service imaging, including digital mammography and high-resolution diagnostic ultrasound. Breast MRIs are also available at two nearby Baylor facilities. The center is equipped with a network of surgical, medical and radiation oncologists on the medical staff who work to develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
To achieve the ACR Gold Standard of Accreditation, our facility's personnel qualifications, equipment requirements, quality assurance, and quality control procedures have gone through a rigorous review process and have met specific qualifications. It's important for patients to know that every aspect of the ACR accreditation process is overseen by board-certified, expert radiologists and medical physicists in advanced diagnostic imaging.
