Stroke Support Group
Find encouragement, education and socialization for stroke survivors and their loved ones. This group meets the second Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m. at Baylor Medical Center at Irving, fifth floor rehabilitation gym. Better Breathers Support Group
This support group meets monthly at the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center at Irving conference room and is designed to help those living with chronic lung disease. The groups offers patient-centered, community-based education and support to people living with chronic lung disease including: COPD, asthma, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), lung cancer and other lung diseases. Choosing to Survive: First Monday Cancer Support Group
This group meets the first Monday of the month, noon to 1 p.m. at the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center at Irving, conference room. Yoga Fitness Class: Cancer Support Group
This free yoga fitness class is designed with cancer fighters and cancer survivors in mind. Experience the benefits of yoga including: flexibility, strength, balance, relaxation and stress relief. Survivors on Purpose: A Triple Negative Cancer Support Group
Meets the fourth Thursday of the month from 6-8 p.m. at the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center at Irving. This unique support group was founded by breast cancer survivor Leslie Williams who knows first hand the experiences one goes through with a triple negative breast cancer diagnosis. The group is designed to help women better understand the diagnosis and create a dialogue. This group will also learn more about participatory research and clinical trials, engage in face-to-face peer support and more. To register for this support group, please call 1.800.4BAYLOR. For Women For Life: Women's Health Event
This free women's health and wellness event is held the last Saturday in January, 7-11 a.m., at Baylor Medical Center at Irving. It's a Guy Thing: Men's Health Event
This free men's health and wellness event is held the second Saturday in June, 7-11 a.m., at Baylor Medical Center at Irving. Men from all walks of life can take advantage of free health screenings, men's health education and grilling demonstrations, and learn about disease prevention from a panel of physicians specializing in men's health. Look Good, Feel Better® at Baylor Medical Center at Irving
Look Good…Feel Better® helps women undergoing cancer treatment look and feel more comfortable with changes in their appearance. This program is offered by licensed cosmetologists and health care professionals in a group setting.
