Asthma Care 

Statistics show that asthma is a growing problem in our region.  The causes are varied- including weather changes, dust from construction, and a high smoking rate - and many of the sufferers are children.  Our respiratory care specialists offer an array of services to help mitigate this problem including:

  • Breathing treatments- including intubations and ventilator management-around the clock in the emergency room and throughout the hospital to help patients in crisis.
  • Demonstrations and training to educate patients on proper techniques for performing peak flows, breathing treatments and using common drug delivery tools including aero chambers and Metered-Dose Inhalers (MDIs).
