After the birth, mother and baby go through an important attachment process. If possible, your baby can remain with you during your recovery period. Your nurse will check in on you and your baby. You may begin breastfeeding during this time, with your nurse's help if necessary.

At Simply Mom's breast-feeding boutique on the campus of Baylor All Saints Medical Center's Andrews Women's Hospital, you'll find a full array of these products for you and your baby.

The boutique offers breast pump rentals, sales, and supplies, as well as nursing bras and tops. If you need a breast-feeding consultation with a Certified Lactation Consultant you can schedule an appointment through the boutique by calling 1.800.4BAYLOR.

Simply Mom's is the only clinical women's and children's boutique in Fort Worth designed to provide new mothers convenient access to breastfeeding supplies, newborn and premature infant clothing, books and gifts. 

Keeping Your Baby Safe

At Baylor, your baby's safety is a top concern during their stay and when they go home with you. Following are some important tips to ensure your baby's security:

• Do not give your infant to anyone without properly verified hospital identification
• Consider not announcing your infant's birth in the newspaper or online, which can be risky
• Don't include your home address on birth announcements, and only use a first or last name rather than both
• Avoid using outdoor or automobile decorations to announce your baby's arrival, such as balloons, large floral wreaths, wooden storks and other lawn ornaments
• Only allow persons into your home that you and your family know and trust
