BIR Burleson 

The skilled therapists at the Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation (BIR) Outpatient Services clinic in Burleson provide quality, compassionate care to patients in need of physical therapy due to injury or illness.  

Clinic Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. to noon 

Our Staff

Center Manager: Elizabeth Edmiston, PT
Elizabeth Edmiston received her master’s of physical therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 1997. She has extensive experience in non-operative orthopedic conditions/injuries, sports injuries, post-operative conditions of the spine and all extremities, work related orthopedic conditions/injuries, and balance and gait disturbances. She has recently been certified in Functional Capacity Evaluations and the development of work conditioning programs. 

Kristin North, DPT
Kristin North earned her doctorate of physical therapy from Hardin-Simmons University in December 2010. She has experience in treating non-operative orthopedic conditions/injuries, post-operative conditions of the spine and all extremities and work related orthopedic conditions/injuries. She has completed Baylor’s DFW Spine Mentorship program, focusing on evaluation and treatment of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar conditions.

Mindy Byrd, DPT
Mindy Byrd received her doctorate of physical therapy from Southwest Baptist University in May 2009. She has extensive experience in treating non-operative orthopedic conditions/injuries, sports injuries, post-operative conditions of the spine and all extremities, work-related orthopedic conditions/injuries, and balance and gait disturbances. Mindy specializes in restoring function to individuals of all ages after injury, trauma, balance disorders or surgery to joints or the spine.
