The skilled therapists at the Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation (BIR) Outpatient Services clinic in Garland off Shiloh Road offer a variety of therapy services for patients suffering from physical conditions related to aging, gender, illness and injury.

Monday - Thursday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.Friday: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday: 8 a.m. to noon
Center Manager: Carey Hammon, M.S. CCC-SLPCarey received her bachelor's in speech/language pathology and audiology from Northern Arizona University in 1992 and her master's in speech/language pathology in 1994. She has experience in the evaluation and treatment of speech/language disorders, cognitive deficits, dysphagia, voice, facial e-stim needs and articulation errors. She became certified as a Vital Stimulation provider in 2005 and is qualified to perform and interpret dysphagiagrams for ages 3-years-old to geriatrics.
Physical Therapist: Sandy Frits, PT, DPT Sandy is an orthopedic certified specialist and a women’s health expert with experience treating pre/post partum pain, pelvic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction. She works musculoskeletal conditions that contribute to pain, weakness, posture disorders including osteoporosis and functional impairments. She is skilled in manual therapy, joint and soft tissue mobilization and other forms of myofascial release therapies.
Physical Therapist: Brian Graf, PT, DPTBrian graduated with a bachelor’s degree in pre-physical therapy at the University of Central Missouri in 2007 in Warrensburg, Mo. He continued his education to earn his doctorate of physical therapy degree from Rockhurst University in 2011 in Kansas City, Mo. Brian has been working for BIR since August 2011, specializing in outpatient orthopedic services.
Physical Therapist: Sumayya Khan, PT, DPTSumayya received her bachelor's in psychology from Kean University in 2007 and her doctorate in physical therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 2011. She works with all types of orthopedic patients in the outpatient setting. Sumayya also has been trained to perform functional capacity evaluations and speaks several languages, including Urdu and Hindi.
