Strokes can happen suddenly and often leave patients and their families frightened and panicked. At Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation, we understand these feelings, and we are here to help.
Our team of specialists will provide personalized, individual treatment based on patients own abilities and needs. We also offer group therapy which allows patients to meet and work with others who are facing similar challenges.
It may not always be easy, but our goal is to get you back doing the things in life that you love and enjoy.
In BIR’s stroke rehabilitation program, the treatment is as individual as the patient. We understand that each patient has different needs and abilities; however we treat all patients with the same level of care and attention.

Following a stroke some patients may never walk the same. Physical therapists at BIR have discovered a new way to help stroke patients walk again – correctly.
Because of the complex nature of strokes, experience is a must. Last year alone, we treated 314 survivors of stroke.
From aquatic and animal assisted therapy to community re-entry practices, our services are varied and tailored to your needs.
