Michael Sanborn, MS, RPh, FACHE 

 

 

 

President

Michael Sanborn serves as the President of Baylor Medical Center at Carrollton. He is responsible for the leadership and management of the 235-bed acute care hospital with more than 700 employees and 500 medical staff members.  In addition, Sanborn oversees three satellite medical offices, a senior healthcare center and a freestanding diagnostic center.

Before joining Baylor Carrollton, Sanborn served as the corporate vice president of cardiovascular services, overseeing cardiac services for all Baylor entities, with a focus on improving patient outcomes, program development and strategic planning. Throughout his 23 years in health care, Sanborn has taken on increasingly complex roles, initially in pharmacy leadership and then in health care administration. 

Prior to coming to Baylor in 2003, he served as a corporate vice president for the McKesson Corporation, and also held leadership positions in several large health systems and academic medical centers. Sanborn has a degree in pharmacy and a master’s degree in hospital pharmacy administration. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists as well as the American College of Healthcare Executives.
