The current practice is to continue recommending mammograms beginning at the age of 40.

The breast imaging services at Baylor Medical Center at Carrollton Breast Imaging Centers are fully accredited in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. We have locations in Carrollton and Flower Mound.

Recommendations

Monthly Breast self-exams (BSEs) are recommended for women age 20 and over. There are benefits and limitations, and it is recommended you report any changes in how your breasts look or feel to a health expert right away.
