The prospect of a surgical procedure is stressful no matter what. But knowing you're in a hospital with a highly-trained surgical team can make a big difference when you're about to enter the operating room. Whether it's a major operation, minor outpatient surgery, or a minimally invasive procedure, count on us for quality surgical outcomes.
Surgeons on the medical staff at Baylor Carrollton treat many conditions involving the breast, endocrine system, gastrointestinal tract, colon, liver, pancreas and rectum - some on an outpatient basis.
For children, surgery can be frightening. Special pediatric tours of the unit are available to acquaint children and their parents with our services prior to surgery. Just call us at 972.394.2470 for questions or to schedule a tour.
Baylor Carrollton's robotic surgery system offers a minimally invasive method of treatment for a variety of conditions. Robotic surgery has several unique features designed to provide additional clinical benefits and efficiency in the operating room. The robot improves the surgeon's view and allows greater control through incisions that are only about 1-2 centimeters in size. Other benefits experienced by patients may include shorter hospital stay, significantly less pain, and less blood loss.
Robotic surgery can be used for a multitude of procedures, including, but not limited to: fibroid tumors, endometriosis, uterine prolapse, cancers of the cervix and uterus, hysterectomy, colorectal surgery, Gallbladder removal, and other abdominal surgeries.
View our surgery guide to learn more about what to expect before, during and after surgery.
