Doug Lawson is chief operating officer for Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. In this role, Lawson is responsible for the daily operations of the 1,065-bed not-for-profit academic hospital with $980 million in net revenue and more than 5,500 employees.
While president of Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine, Lawson was named a 2008 Healthcare Hero by the Dallas Business Journal and has spent nearly 20 years in healthcare leadership.
Lawson is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a graduate of Texas A&M University and Trinity University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in political science and a master of science degree in healthcare administration, respectively.
