Based on findings, tests may be ordered and some may be done at the facility and others ordered at labs or a radiology imaging center.

Patients are asked to complete forms for the evaluation.  Each time patients return for a visit, evaluation forms are completed.  This provides up-to-date information to the physician and staff .

The Baylor Martha Foster Lung Care Center evaluates patients with asthma symptoms and then decides what types of tests are needed.  These tests may include:

• Spirometry (before & after bronchodilator)
• Pulmonary Function test
• DLCO - Gas Exchange
• Lung Volume Test
• Skin Prick Allergy test/ Intradermal Allergy test
• Six Minute Walk
• Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test
• Methlacholine Challenge Test (Bronchial Provocation tests)
• Pulse Oximetry
• Arterial Blood Gas
