There are many states who passed laws against talking or texting on a mobile device while driving. Texas is now moving in that direction. Texas HB 243 was passed
Write or email your State Senator and especially the Transportation committee to encourage them to pass a bill against texting and driving.
"Motorists who write text messages while driving are six times more likely to crash than those who do not text while driving," according to University of Utah psychologists Frank Drews and Dave Stayer. By texting while driving, yours and others lives are in jeopardy. Take our pledge not to text and drive, remember it every time you reach for the phone, and make the roads of Dallas safer for everyone.
You may think you’re invincible when it comes to texting and driving, but you’re not. Nearly 500,000 people are injured and 6,000 are killed each year because people are talking, texting and emailing while driving. The good news: trauma accidents are preventable. But YOU have to take the first step.
