Level One Trauma Center

Emergency Care: We’re there for you 24/7 with full emergency services
Trauma Care: Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas is one of only two adult Level 1 trauma centers in Dallas/Fort Worth, covering 21 counties (18,000 square miles) and 5 million lives. A team of board-certified trauma surgeons, anesthesiologists and other specialists is available to provide rapid diagnosis and immediate treatment of life-threatening injuries seven days a week, 24 hours a day. A variety of specialists are on-call 24-hours a day to respond to the needs of trauma patients, including orthopaedic-trauma surgeons, neurosurgeons, and other specialists.
Limb Salvage: Our renowned capabilities in limb salvage include treating complex problems such as severed limbs, crushed bones, extreme or multiple fractures, nonunion fractures and bone infection.

In a Heartbeat

Each day, nearly 1,000 Americans experience sudden cardiac arrest. More than 95 percent die, in many cases because lifesaving defibrillators arrive on the scene too late, if at all. To save more lives, we support the American Heart Association's efforts to train and equip those likely to be first to arrive at an emergency with heart-shocking automatic external defibrillators (AEDs).
