Golf Performance Program 

Nearly 80% of golfers suffer from one type of injury or another, with the majority of injuries involving the back. Golf injuries are usually related to poor swing mechanics, with a decrease in mobility, flexibility and strength.

The Physical Therapist will use techniques that include:

  • Specific golf related strength exercises that will not only decrease pain, but improve performance on the golf course
  • Improvement of joint movement with manual therapy and joint mobilization specific to the needs of the patient
  • Pilates
  • Modalities

Goals of the treatment:

  •  Increase flexibility of the muscles related to the swing
  • Increase the mobility of the spine and extremities
  • Increase the strength of the muscles that support the body throughout the golf swing
