Urological Care

It can be hard to live with urinary incontinence, prostate disease or sexual dysfunction if no one knows what you’re going through.

You can feel comfortable bringing your concerns to the specialists in our comprehensive urological program. We use advanced technology to treat the special urological health needs of both men and women.

Some advanced urological procedures we offer include the daVinci Robotic Surgical System®, a minimally invasive treatment for prostate cancer, and the GreenLight PVP™ Laser treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or enlarged prostate.

Men's Urological Health

There are many men's urological disorders including testicular cancer, non-malignant testicular disorders, kidney and urinary tract disease.

As the third most common cause of cancer deaths in men, prostate cancer demands early detection and response. Men can also experience benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) which is not cancer, but accelerated growth of the tissue surrounding the prostate. This can cause frequent urination and bladder problems. Men can also face kidney disease and kidney cancer, incontinence and erectile dysfunction or other sexual disorders.

Types of Prostate Disease

Prostate health concerns include more than prostate cancer. There are a variety of issues that can affect the prostate. Among the prostate disorders that we treat at Baylor at Dallas are:

  • Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (Enlarged prostate)
  • Prostate Cancer
  • Prostatitis (acute)

Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas offers advanced treatment for men with prostate health issues including the daVinci Robotic Surgical System®, a minimally invasive treatment for prostate cancer, and the GreenLight PVPT Laser treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or enlarged prostate.

Women Can Gain Control

For millions of women, urinary incontinence is a daily concern, yet the stigma and the embarrassing nature of the condition make it uncomfortable to seek treatment. There is no need to suffer in silence because the good news is that it can be treated and controlled, if not cured.

A multidisciplinary and comprehensive approach to pelvic floor disorders is offered at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas.

Urinary and anal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder and voiding dysfunction are treated with a wide range of conservative, non-surgical and surgical treatments. We offer services to effectively address your urologic issues, allowing you to regain your desired quality of life.
