Navigating Your Cancer Journey

Because the diseases of cancer are complex, the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center's Patient Navigation Program offers assistance in navigating the cancer journey.  The patient navigator understands your needs and provides the ability for you to focus on healing.

A patient navigator is a nurse who helps ensure timely diagnosis and treatment by:

  • Simplifying access to the Baylor Sammons Cancer Center's services such as education, support and identification of resources needed
  • Access to the many specialists and  support team with expertise in diagnosing and treating cancer
  • Assistance in scheduling appointments
  • Providing general cancer information
  • Helping you and your caregiver understand your personalized plan of care
