The only program of its kind in North Texas, the Skin Malignancy Research and Treatment Center at Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center, an integral part of Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, combines the expertise of dermatologists, medical and surgical oncologists to provide a premier destination for the screening, evaluation, research and treatment of malignant skin conditions. 

The specialists at the Skin Malignancy Research and Treatment Center use the most advanced techniques to provide expert care for a variety of skin cancers, including:

  • Melanoma
  • Squamous cell carcinoma
  • Basal cell carcinoma
  • Merkel cell carcinoma
  • Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP)
  • Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL)
  • Transplant-related skin malignancies

As part of our dedication to multidisciplinary care, the center is closely aligned with the Baylor Annette C. and Harold C. Simmons Transplant Institute. Baylor Simmons Transplant Institute, the third-largest center in the nation, is an internationally renowned destination for transplant care and one of the busiest in the world. Baylor’s Skin Malignancy Research and Treatment Center is one of few national programs participating in a retrospective database for transplant skin malignancies designated by the American Academy of Dermatology.
