Most cancers found in the bone do not actually start in the bone – they are cancers that have spread to the bone from other parts of the body such as breast or prostate. Actual bone tumors are rare, but can strike at any age.
Bone cancers can also be complex and usually require the expertise of physicians from several medical specialties. To coordinate your care between specialties, we created the Bone Tumor Center at Baylor, Here, our dedicated staff helps you through the process from diagnosis to treatment and recovery. Your medical information is also managed through the center, allowing your physicians better access.
