Those with minimally invasive cervical cancer have treatment options including radical hysterectomy and node dissection.
Typically the ovaries do not have to be removed for most patients with cervical cancer and there are select patients who may be treated with fertility-sparing surgery.
Patients who have advanced cervical cancer, as well as those with high-risk early stage cancer, are generally best treated with a combination of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
