Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center offers a comprehensive program to treat hematologic cancer and lymphomas.
We feature a unit dedicated to treating patients with these types of cancer, staffed by a multidisciplinary team including physicians on the medical staff at Baylor, nurses, social workers, dietitians, therapists and other health care professionals.
The Baylor Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at Baylor Sammons Cancer Center:
- Has performed more than 4,000 adult bone marrow and blood stem cell transplants in the past 27 years
- Is the 9th largest transplant center in the United States
- Performed North Texas' first adult marrow transplant in 1983
- Performed Texas' first matched unrelated donor transplant in 1988
