The primary goal of the Heart and Vascular Center’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is to assist patients in developing a healthy lifestyle plan that allows them to manage their disease while enjoying a greater quality of life.
Monitored physical activity helps to improve the efficiency of the heart and lungs, increases strength and stamina, and boosts confidence to resume daily activities.
Our education program helps patients understand their heart condition and provides information and techniques to help reduce the risk of future heart problems.
Our caring team of exercise physiologists and cardiac rehabilitation nurses educate patients in stress management, nutrition, exercise, risk factor modification and other aspects of cardiovascular disease management. All members of our team also are certified smoking cessation counselors.
