Baylor Diagnostic Imaging Center at Mesquite now offers digital mammography.  

Early detection saves lives, and is best accomplished with screening mammograms. Digital mammography at Baylor Diagnostic Imaging Center at Mesquite offers many benefits, including: 

  • Significantly better for women under 50 and those with denser breast tissue 
  • Image contrast and magnification can be altered for easier analysis possibly reducing the need for repeat exams
  • Uses less radiation than film screen mammography

According to the American Cancer Society, all women over the age of 40 should have an annual screening mammogram. Women under the age of 40 but who have a family history of the disease or other risk factors, should consult their physician to see if they should receive a mammogram.
