Arlington-Grand Prairie 

The Baylor Diagnostic Imaging Center at Arlington-Grand Prairie serves the imaging needs of the Arlington, Grand Prairie and Bedford communities. The 10,000 square foot imaging center is located in the same building as the new Baylor Family Medical Center location at Riverside and offers:

  • MRI, which stands for magnetic resonance imaging, is usually preferred for looking at soft tissues, such as the brain, spinal cord, nerves, muscles, ligaments and tendons.
  • 40-slice CT, or computed tomography, is typically used to examine the chest, abdomen and pelvis. It's also often the scan of choice for the spines and brain.
  • Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of inside of the body.
  • Bone Density Screening measures bone thickness and checks for signs of osteoporosis, a type of bone deterioration.
  • Mammography screens for breast cancer.
  • Diagnostic X-ray helps diagnose broken bones, pneumonia and other acute care problems.
