Scott Peek, FACHE

Scott Peek became president of Baylor Medical Center at McKinney in July 2011. Prior to joining Baylor McKinney, Peek served as the chief operating officer (COO) at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine. Peek has been with Baylor Health Care System since 2001, serving in roles of increasing responsibility as president of Baylor Specialty Hospital and Our Children’s House at Baylor, prior to becoming COO of Baylor Grapevine in 2008.

At each stop along his career, Peek has focused his efforts on leading a culture that fosters employee engagement and accountability as the foundation to achieving service and clinical excellence. In 2009, Baylor Grapevine received the Texas Award for Performance Excellence from Texas Quality Foundation, becoming only the sixth health care organization to win the statewide recognition.

After being open for only 18 months, Baylor McKinney committed to its first major expansion to meet the growth demands of McKinney and the surrounding communities.  Baylor McKinney was awarded by McKinney Magazine, McKinney Courier Gazette and McKinney/Allen Living as the Best Hospital in McKinney.

In 2009, Peek was chosen as “Young Healthcare Executive of the Year” by the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council. The annual award honors young professionals who display key characteristics and abilities of future health care leaders. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Peek received his master's in health care administration and master's in business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Scott is involved with McKinney Downtown Rotary, serves as the chair-elect of the McKinney Chamber Executive Committee and is the co-chair of the Advisory Board for Young Life in McKinney.

He serves on the board of HOSPAC, which is a part of the Texas Hospital Association.  In 2015, he was appointed to serve a three year term on the D/FW Hospital Council.  In his spare time loves coaching his young daughters in volleyball or basketball.
