Developmental Delays

A developmental delay occurs when a child does not reach a developmental milestone in the area of: cognitive development, social and emotional development, speech and language development, fine motor development, and/or gross motor development in an expected time period.  Developmental delay may occur in only one or all five of the areas and may or may not have a contributing defined diagnosis.
