All Star Sports
Meets in the summer, call for more information
Children ages six and up are encouraged to participate if there are any concerns with the following as these skills will be developed: good sportsmanship, group play activities, teamwork / social skills, coordination skills, general and core strengthening.
Chatter Club (Formerly Social Skills)
Meets once a week for 45 minutes to one hour
Some of the skills that this group will focus on are helping children learn: appropriately greet peers, recognize non-verbal clues, communication skills and resolving conflicts.
Meets once a week for 45 minutes to one hour
While in a small group with peers, children who have sensory, behavioral feeding challenges will learn to try new foods

Our Children’s House Waxahachie has provided quality occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy services on an outpatient basis since opening its doors nearly 17 years ago. Services have expanded to include nutrition and social work services for patients and their families.

Jill Buie, PT, holds a bachelor’s degree in health education from Texas A&M and a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She has expertise in aquatic therapy, Down syndrome and local community resources for children with special needs.
Kara Gintert, DPT, graduated from The Ohio State University and holds a doctorate in physical therapy. Kara also worked with adults prior to joining the OCH team and has a special interest in fitness and weight management. She currently splits time between the Waxahachie, Las Colinas and Irving OCH facilities.
Celina Carter, MS, CCC-SLP, completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She has worked in skilled nursing environments, adult and pediatric home health, and acute care. Celina’s pediatric experience was expanded when she joined the OCH Waxahachie team, and she is trained in Beckman Oral Motor and Vital Stim®Therapy.
Lindsi Bourgeois, MS, CCC-SLP, holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a master’s degree in speech language pathology from The University of Texas at Dallas. While she is certified in Vital Stim®Therapy and trained in Beckman Oral Motor and PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets), Lindsi has a special interest in feeding.
Jill Hannebaum, MS, CCC-SLP, is a graduate of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with a Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science in speech pathology, and also holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington. Before joining OCH Waxahachie, Jill worked with public schools as a speech language pathologist. Jill has also worked in adult outpatient, inpatient and skilled nursing settings. During her years as a speech language pathologist, she has earned certifications in Vital Stimulation and has also received training in Beckman Oral Motor.
Heather Gordon, OTR, is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University with a master’s degree in occupational therapy. She has experience with the pediatric population through her years as a junior high school teacher. As an occupational therapist, Heather has worked in a variety of pediatric settings including home health, schools, and outpatient therapy.
Alyssa Craig, OTR, holds a bachelor’s degree in child development and a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Texas Woman’s University. She began her time in the Baylor system with an internship at the Irving location in the acute and outpatient adult setting. Later, Alyssa worked at the OCH Las Colinas site until transferring to OCH Waxahachie in 2012. Alyssa is certified in therapeutic listening and is also a child passenger safety technician.
Laura Dobson, OTR, holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology/public relations and a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She started at Baylor with an internship at the OCH Rockwall location and then transferred to Waxahachie to work full-time. In addition to her experience in the pediatric outpatient field, Laura also works in a pediatric home health setting as well.
Lisa Lopez, OTR, holds a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy. She works as an occupational therapist at OCH Waxahachie on an as-needed basis, in addition to her role as an occupational therapist with Dallas ISD.
Hayley Gonzales is the therapy tech at OCH Waxahachie. She graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor's degree in exercise science.
Vickie Kendrick is the office manager for Our Children's House at Waxahachie. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with a degree in elementary education EC-6.
Jennifer Statham is the administrative assistant at OCH Waxahachie. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University. Prior to joining OCH, she worked in professional sports and within athletics departments in school systems.
