BAYLOR REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER AT PLANO ANNOUNCES NEW PRESIDENT OF MEDICAL STAFF
 
(PLANO, TEXAS Feb. 2, 2010) ­ Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano is proud to announce Dennis Gable, MD, RVT, FACS, vascular surgeon, as president of the medical staff.  Dr. Gable follows Peter Stack, MD, internal medicine, who served as president in 2008 and 2009.  

Dr. Gable received his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed a general surgery internship, residency and served as chief resident at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. He went on to complete a fellowship in peripheral vascular surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.  He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery with added qualification in Vascular Surgery. Dr. Gable is an American College of Surgeons Fellow and a member of the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery and Society for Vascular Surgery. In addition to his role as president of the medical staff, Dr. Gable serves as vice chairman of surgery and chief of vascular surgery for Baylor Plano.   

In addition, John Marcucci, MD, emergency medicine, has been named president-elect of the Baylor Plano medical staff.  

Dr. Marcucci received his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas and completed an emergency medicine residency and fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Texas College of Emergency Physicians.

In addition to his role as president-elect of the medical staff, Dr. Marcucci also serves as the medical director of the Baylor Plano emergency department and as a member of the hospital peer review committee.
