When you choose Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano, you can have confidence that outside agencies have recognized us for the highest commitment to cancer care.
NAPBC accreditation is earned by centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and performance review.
Standards include:
Baylor Plano is the first hospital in Collin County to have earned this accreditation.
Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons
Accredited programs are assigned a category that describes their services. Baylor Plano is the only hospital in Collin County to be assigned as a “Community Hospital Comprehensive Care program” by the CoC. We are also the only hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex with fewer than 200 beds that has received this designation.
Outstanding Achievement Award by the CoC
We are one of only two programs in Texas who received this award in 2010 and the first in the Baylor Health Care System to have earned the CoC’s Outstanding Achievement Award.
This recognition acknowledges that our hospital went above and beyond CoC standards, receiving zero deficiencies and a perfect eight out of eight commendations.
