Nutrition for Head and Neck Cancer

Nutrition for Head and Neck Cancer Patients

At Baylor Plano, we understand the unique postoperative nutritional needs of a head and neck cancer patient. Whether you’re having difficulties with your feeding tube or experiencing dry mouth and difficulty swallowing, our team of registered dieticians will help you maintain a healthy weight during treatment and after treatment.

Inpatient Nutrition

While in the hospital, our inpatient dietitian consults will provide recommendations for tube feedings as well as suggestions of how to eat more calories and protein to improve and maintain your health.

For the inpatient registered dietitian, call 469-814-4482.

Outpatient Nutrition

Outpatient dietitians can help you maintain a healthy weight while receiving cancer treatments. They also provide that your feeding tube is providing adequate nutrition. They offer individual nutrition counseling and outpatient group classes on nutrition.

For the outpatient registered dietitian, call 469-814-4483
