da Vinci® S Surgical System 

Making Major Surgeries Seem Minor

Thanks to new robotic technology now available at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Plano, many patients no longer have to worry about lengthy down times after surgery. The FDA-approved da Vinci® S Surgical System enables many surgeries to be performed less invasively, typically leading to shorter hospital stays and faster recoveries. 

With surgery utilizing the da Vinci® S Surgical System, surgeons insert miniaturized instruments and a 3-D camera through 1- to 2-centimeter incisions. The advanced robotics allow the surgeon to view a high-definition image of the surgical site on a computer monitor. His hand movements are translated into micro-movements inside the patient’s body, enabling surgeons to perform complex procedures with enhanced precision and control.  

Baylor Scott & White - Plano is proud to be the first hospital in north Dallas and Collin County to offer this robotic system.
