Metabolic Diseases

Metabolic diseases are disorders caused by genetic defects that interfere with the body’s metabolism. These disorders involve the alteration in normal metabolism of carbohydrate, lipids, protein, water and nucleic acid.

At Baylor Plano you have access to physicians on the medical staff specializing in nephrology and pathology.  Baylor Plano nephrologists and pathologists collaborate with other members of the Baylor Plano team, including pharmacists, nurses, educators, dietitians and other physicians on the medical staff to help give you quality care.
