Delicious Berry Smoothie  

Enjoy this creamy smoothie, which uses blueberries, a fruit packed with antioxidants and vitamins. You can make it with dairy or soy. 

Ingredients:

1 1/2 c. fresh blueberries*
3/4 c. fat-free vanilla yogurt or plain soy-based yogurt
3/4 c. fat-free milk or vanilla-flavored soy milk
Juice of 1 medium orange
2 tsp. ground flaxseed
2 ice cubes*
1 Tbsp. honey 

Directions:

Place blueberries in a blender with yogurt, milk, orange juice, flaxseed and ice; puree. Add honey and puree again. Pour into 2 tall glasses; serve immediately.

*Note: If desired, use frozen blueberries and skip the ice. 

Makes 2 (1 1/4 cup) servings.
