Heart & Vascular Care is offered at THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano, located adjacent to Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano.
THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano is the first and only freestanding, full-service hospital in this region dedicated solely to heart and vascularhealth care. Today the hospital is a $134 million, 116-bed facility.
THE HEART HOSPITAL provides inpatient and outpatient care, includingdiagnostic, interventional, surgical, and rehabilitation services, and wellnessand prevention support. The hospital focuses on delivering safe, quality, compassionate health care in a distinctive environment that is focused on producing a wholly positive patient experience.
The hospital has received numerous awards and recognitions since its January 2007 opening, including three Press Ganey™ Summit Awards for
Inpatient and Emergency Department satisfaction. Most recently, the hospital also received Magnet® Recognition, a coveted designation currently held by only 5% of the hospitals in the United States. THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano is only the 26th hospital in Texas to be granted Magnet® Recognition.
The facility, located off of the George Bush Turnpike and Preston Road, is currently undergoing a multi-phase hospital expansion due to significant demand for its services. The most recent addition to the hospital to open its doors is the Center for Advanced Cardiovascular Services, which offers heart failure management, including Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) consults and education.
